What is SkimIt.ai?
SkimIt.ai is an AI-powered tool that summarizes articles and delivers them to your inbox. You email an article link to go@skimit.ai, and it sends back a summary, shareable tweets, and a LinkedIn post draft within minutes.
How to use SkimIt.ai?
Email an article link to go@skimit.ai. Ensure the link is the first URL included in the body of your email. SkimIt.ai will then email you a summary within approximately 10 minutes.

The tool isn't working: How can I get help?
You can contact us at tldrtool@gmail.com. Occasionally, our servers may experience delays, so please allow up to 15 minutes to receive your summary. Also, check your spam folder if the email does not arrive.
What is the correct email format?
We process the first URL link found in the body of your email. The subject line, additional content, and email signature do not affect the process.
How and why should I CC my friends?
If you find an article a friend might appreciate, send the link to go@skimit.ai and CC your friends. They will receive the original article from you along with the summary generated by SkimIt.ai.
What technology powers the AI?
Our AI processing is powered by OpenAI's GPT technology.
Is the AI-generated content accurate and reliable?
No. This is a project intended for entertainment, allowing users to get key takeaways without reading full articles. We accept no responsibility for the content generated, as all AI systems can make mistakes. Please use this tool responsibly.
How is my data stored?
For each request, we store the sender's email address, any CC'd email addresses, and the first URL provided in the email. We do not retain any other content from the emails sent to our go@skimit.ai processor.
Why was this tool built?
SkimIt was created as a hackathon project by Karthik and Alex to explore AI text processing, email handling, and web scraping. As post-exit founders who enjoy building startups and advising others, we developed this to practice our technical skills.
