What is an ‘Avatar’?
An avatar is an AI model used to generate your personalized videos. You can create an avatar for anyone on your team, including founders or staff members. If a team member is unavailable, we provide access to a library of professional actors with pre-built avatars. Windsor generates a custom AI model for each individual, calibrated to match their specific face and voice.
How does the AI engine actually work?
We create a custom AI model using 20 to 30 minutes of recorded audio and video. This model can then be used to generate as many template videos as needed. Similar to an email template with placeholders for a customer's first name, our AI engine uses this data to fill in the blanks. When a customer completes an action—such as making a purchase, abandoning a cart, or submitting a form—Windsor processes the template to accurately replicate your face and voice saying the customer's name. You can test the AI engine via our demo.

We offer an internal library of templates recorded by our team of professional actors. These videos cover various use cases, including abandoned carts, post-purchase follow-ups, and newsletter signups.
Can I substitute more than the person’s “First Name” in the video?
Not at this time, but we are actively developing capabilities to integrate additional customer data. Stay tuned for updates.
How are videos QA’d before going out?
Our team of experts reviews every video generated by the Windsor AI engine for quality assurance. If a video does not meet our standards, it is not sent, and you are not billed for it. This protocol was implemented to protect your brand reputation. When recorded with high-quality audio and video equipment, approximately 97% of videos are approved by our experts.
What happens if I reach my plan’s video limit?
As you approach your current plan's video limit, we will send email notifications prompting you to upgrade to a higher tier.
Do unused videos roll over into the next month?
No. Unused videos do not roll over to the next billing cycle if you remain under your limit at the end of a period.
Are there any risks to AI automation?
Yes. AI-generated videos, or 'deepfakes,' have historically been associated with malicious use. We take our responsibility to our customers and society seriously. We believe AI-generated video will become ubiquitous, and we focus on ethical application and education. We anticipate that businesses will soon prefer generated video over mass email. Our perspective is that generating a video will eventually be viewed similarly to editing a photo. In the meantime, our generated videos are designed to drive customer engagement by prioritizing honesty and authenticity.
